Alright, folks, let’s dive into something I tackled recently – figuring out the 2017 Ohio State football roster. Getting to the Details
After doing a refine Search I get all player’s name, and I put it all into a spreadsheet.
- Quarterbacks: Got those guys listed. J.T. Barrett was the main man, of course.
- Running Backs: Remember J.K. Dobbins? He was a freshman that year! And Mike Weber.
- Wide Receivers: Parris Campbell, Terry McLaurin… those guys are stars now!
- Offensive Line: Found those guys, the unsung heroes.
- Defensive Line: Nick Bosa! Chase Young! Wow, that was a stacked line.
- Linebackers: Got the names, Jerome Baker, Malik Harrison.
- Defensive Backs: Denzel Ward, Damon Arnette… so many future NFL players.
- Special Teams: Kickers, punters, long snappers… the whole crew.
Compiling the Roster
I went player by player, position by position. It took a bit of time, but it was pretty cool to see the whole team laid out. I even noted their jersey numbers and hometowns, just for fun.
The Finished Product
