So I’ve been trying to keep up with the Women’s Korean Basketball League lately, but man it was tricky at first. Time zones are brutal here, games happen when I’m sleeping or at work. Tried staying up late couple times to catch livestreams, ended up zombie-mode next day. Waste of energy.
Started digging for highlights instead. Google searches gave me old stuff or junky fan clips with bad angles. Official league site? Ha. Everything’s in Korean, buttons don’t make sense. Found team Instagram pages – some post 15-second clips but half are just player selfies. Like, cool sunglasses sis but where’s the dunk?
Then I remembered that sports app I used for baseball. Typed in “WKBL” and boom! Little highlight packages, maybe two minutes each. But only for like one team? Weird. Got mad and checked YouTube properly this time. Found proper highlight channels after changing search words ten times. Pro tip: search team names in Korean letters. Got way more results.
Now my routine: check three things every morning with coffee. First hit the sports app notifications – see which games happened overnight. Then jump to specific YouTube channels showing full quarter recaps. Last, scroll Twitter real quick. Crazy how some Korean fans post instant replay clips right after big plays happen. Found seven reliable accounts now. Takes five minutes total.
Been doing this three weeks straight. Finally saw Busan’s crazy overtime win against Blue Minx yesterday morning. Worth the hassle. Woke up my dog cheering at the screen.
