Alright, so y’all wanna know about this Darnell Dodson fella, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, the way I know how to tell it. This boy, Darnell Dodson, he’s a basketball player. I just get my grandson to show me.
They say he ain’t playin’ for nobody right now, no team, I mean. Just says “N/A” for his current team. Maybe he’s retired, like them old fellas down at the barbershop talkin’ ’bout their glory days. Or maybe he’s just takin’ a break. Lord knows, runnin’ up and down that court takes a toll on a body. I remember my nephew, he played a bit in high school, always comin’ home with some kinda ache or pain.

But that kinda stuff, it can mess up your career, you know? After that, they say he went off to play for that Southern Mississippi team. Seems like he bounced around a bit.
They got these things called G-League statistics, whatever that means. Numbers and figures, all jumbled up. Guess it tells you how good he was, how many points he scored and such. Me, I just like watchin’ the game, seein’ the ball go through the hoop. That’s excitin’ enough for me. And they even got this FIBA Basketball thing, where you can see his whole career, they say. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but some folks like that kinda stuff.
So, what else can I tell ya? He’s a basketball player, played for a while, had a little trouble, and now he ain’t playin’ no more, far as I know. Seems like a lot of these young fellas, they play for a while and then move on to somethin’ else.
