I just googled “euroleague women basketball schedule” this morning. Wanted to see all them games this season. Figured it be simple, right? Nah. Pure mess.
Where I Started Lookin’
First stop was official EuroLeague site. Big mistake. Navigated forever clicking “Basketball” then “Women” then… nothing clear. Just news articles & stats. Where da schedule at? Got impatient real quick.
Tried again typing “euroleague women’s 2023-2024 fixtures” exactly. Google gave me ten different sites. Some had tables but half missing dates. Others showed times but no clue if CET or EST. One site had scores from 2022! Felt like throwing my laptop.
The Spreadsheet Struggle
Gave up on websites around lunch. Decided brute force it myself. Opened Excel blank sheet. Made these columns:
- Team Name
- Match Date
- Local Time
- Home/Away
Started checking each team’s page manually. Fenerbahçe first. Copied their game dates into sheet. Took forever clicking “see more matches”. Next was ASVEL… their site down. Had to skip.
Baby started crying at this point (mom life lol). Took break changed diapers then back at it. Found league’s press release PDF buried under “Resources”. Dates but NO TIMINGS. Seriously?!
Lightbulb Moment
Remembered the FIBA app on phone. Opened it while microwaving leftovers. Scrolled to competitions section. Finally found EuroLeague Women tab with calendar view. Dates & times together! Actual local time conversions too. Slapped head why never check app first?
Transferred everything into spreadsheet properly now. Used text formatting to highlight home games in blue. Filtered by team names. Triple checked Fenerbahçe dates against earlier manual entries. Few mistakes spotted. Fixed em.
How I Put It All Together
Final step: sorting chronologically. Grouped matches week by week. Color coded weekends red for easier spotting. Added freeze panes so team names visible when scrolling.

- Aired espresso breath sigh relief when done
Posted PDF version on my blog later. Added notes like “double-check arena websites last minute”. Learned two big things: always check mobile apps & spreadsheets beat messy websites. Next time somebody asks “when is Beretta Famila playing?” I just open that damn sheet. Coffee stains included.
