You got this fella, Josh Pate, he’s got a show, see? Folks watch him on that YouTube thing, or somethin’. He blabbers about recruitin’ the young’uns for the team. Recruitin’ is important, ya know? Gotta get the good ones if you wanna win.
- Now, this Cougars House place, that’s where all the fans, they get together. It’s a forum, they call it. Like a big ol’ town hall meetin’, only online. They yap about the team, who’s doin’ good, who ain’t.
- They got this Baileigh Sheffield, she’s new, runnin’ the show over at somethin’ called the Cougars Den. She tells folks what’s what about recruitin’, too.
Then, they got them uniforms, blue they say. Blue! Some of the older fellas, they get all worked up about it, can you believe it? Got to watch yourself, might ruffle some feathers talkin’ ’bout them uniforms.
The ladies, they play basketball too, ya know. Heard some folks talkin’ ’bout how good they might be. Gotta support the girls, right?
And they talk about spyin’, too! Imagine that! Espionage, they call it. Like somethin’ outta a spy movie. But it’s just about football, don’t ya know? Just folks tryin’ to get the upper hand, I reckon.
This Coogfans place, seems everyone’s got an opinion. They talk about everythin’ – the football, the basketball, who they gonna pick in somethin’ called the draft. Draft? Sounds like a breeze comin’ through a window.
One fella, they say he’s a good athlete. Played for UH, that’s the Cougars, ya see. They think he’ll do good in the draft. Hope he does, good for him, ya know?
So, it’s all talk, talk, talk. They passionate, these folks. They love their team, them Houston Cougars. And that’s what matters, ain’t it? Supportin’ your team, win or lose.
They just wanna see the Cougars win, that’s all. And they’ll talk til the cows come home about it. That’s just how it is, with football, with anythin’ folks care about.
