Alright so lemme tell you how I tracked down the Mt St Charles hockey schedule for this season. Total hassle at first, drove me nuts. Figured it’d be simple, right? Wrong.
First thing I did was open my browser and just straight up typed “Mt St Charles Hockey Schedule 2024” into the search bar. Sounds obvious. Got a bunch of results, clicked the first couple – mostly news sites talking about old games or previews. Zero actual schedule lists. Useless.
Then I remembered some schools post this stuff on their sports websites. So I hunted for an official Mt St Charles school site, found their athletics section. Looked promising! Scrolled through pages… found football, basketball, baseball… where’s the hockey? Clicked “Winter Sports.” Nada. Just not listed clearly anywhere. Felt like they were hiding it.
Tried a different angle. Searched for “Rhode Island Interscholastic League hockey schedule” or something like that. Thought the state league might list everyone. Found their site, navigated to hockey. Saw some teams… but Mt St Charles wasn’t popping up like I expected. Maybe I missed it? Scanned the team names again. Nope. Stuck.
Got seriously annoyed at this point. Why is finding a simple hockey schedule so dang hard? Almost gave up. Decided to dig deeper into the Mt St Charles school site, like clicking every possible link related to athletics or calendars. Finally stumbled upon a section labeled “Team Pages” or similar. Clicked “Boys Varsity Ice Hockey.” And bam! Buried way down that page was a tab for “Schedule.” Jackpot!
Here’s what I practically had to do:
- Search generic terms, hit dead ends with news sites & old info.
- Go to the school’s official athletics site directly.
- Navigate through poorly labeled menus (Winter Sports -> Teams or Athletics Calendar).
- Specifically find the “Boys Varsity Ice Hockey” team page.
- Finally locate the “Schedule” tab hidden within that team page.
The actual schedule list was right there. All the home and away games for the season, dates, times, opponents. Exactly what I needed. Took way longer than it should have – felt like cracking a code! Schools really gotta make finding basic info simpler. But yeah, persistence pays off.
